GDES-325: Kinetic & Sequential Graphics

motion
For this project, I created a motion graphic to encourage college students in using protections during sex. The style for this motion graphic is a collage style, whereas I explored different images in different mediums and textures. It was a challenge to integrate different mediums together and creating exciting and meaningful compositions out of them.

During my research, I found out that nearly 2/3 of college students are sexually active every year, however, only half of them understand the important in using protection. The motion graphic delivers the message through playfulness and engagement.

For the process, I collected images on Unsplash, Pinterest, and Freepik, then I used Photoshop to crop and cut out selected objects that I would like to use. As you have noticed from the video, I used flowers and leaves in many scenes to represent sex as the nature and basic needs of all human beings. I would say I am most proud of the composition of the banana. I used the banana as a metaphor for using protection for safe sex.

It was really fun that I got to explore new techniques and tools in After Effects for this motion graphic in particularly.
